This is a little spoon I carved in about 30 minutes for our son. We were having a hard time finding baby spoons that are not made with cheap poisonous China plastic. So I decided to whip one out real quick. Here is the result.

I split this thin piece of wood out of a log in the wood pile. I drew out a basic shape and cut it out with a coping saw:

Here is a quick shot getting the edges knocked down and the shape worked out:

And here is the final product after a coat of walnut oil:
